Event Overview
The IEEE NTU Student Chapter is organizing a special student-staff networking session for all NTU students. The event, called CIRCUIT, is being held on 31th October 2009 at Sentosa, 5pm onwards. This event is the first of its kind and we are expecting a big turnout of students. It will provide a perfect platform for the students to interact with the professors, and converse about various topics under the umbrella. We have also arranged for exciting team based games and beach side barbeque for all attending people. Free transportation shall be provided from NTU to Sentosa.
Event Objectives
The idea for Circuit 2009 was conceptualized by the 25th Management Committee. The event aims to bring together NTU Professors, IEEE staff members, NTU Students and IEEE Student Leaders from all over Singapore for an evening of fun, games and interaction.
By organizing such an event we hope to foster deeper bonds between staff and students, thereby creating a much more relaxing education environment in the University. Our main objective of this event is to break the ice between students and staff, and to encourage students’ interaction with professors on various academic and research matters.
Furthermore, the event serves as an appreciation evening for the efforts made and initiatives taken by IEEE’s Student Leaders island-wide in organizing various such events year after year.
The IEEE NTU Students’ Chapter is dedicated to the cause of fostering technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity. We strongly believe that the outlook which the professors share with the students in the networking session shall inspire us to achieve our goal.
Event Format
We plan to hold various team based games such as beach volleyball, tug-of-war, sac race etc. which will serve as ice-breakers amongst the participants. Following the games, there will be a beach-side barbeque, and barbeque food will be served to the guests. The whole event will be conducted by an emcee and will prove to be a fun and enriching experience for both students and professors.
