IEEE Main Committee Members :
-
Rohan Verma - President
Hello all! It gives me immense
pleasure to head the IEEE NTU
Student Branch after being
involved with it for two years now.
Having already served as Logistics Officer
in the 24th Management Committee and Sub-
Committee Member in the 23rd Management Committee,
I have the experience and knowledge of how the committee works;
the perception of the potential of the organization and also the will to take
it to greater heights.
Our focus for this year will be not only to organize the flagship
events of IEEE NTU at a larger scale but also to initiate new events which stimulate scientific thinking and hence keeping up with the Vision of IEEE.
-
Kanav Kapur - Vice President (Internal)
I have a vision that IEEE NTU student branch
will one day be one of the most well-known and
highly respected society's in NTU offering an
immensely enriching experience to the student
population. I intend to direct all my energies
working towards this vision and realizing this
vision as soon as possible, while upholding the
enforcing the high standards of IEEE International.
Being the Vice President of Internal Affairs
in the Executive Committee I want to take
the society to greater heights and continue
the great work done by the previous committee's
and build on that platform and expand our
reach. My primary job is to assist and
collaborate with the President in making
important executive decisions in all committee
matters. Our core focus this year is to further
streamline the working of the committee, build
stronger strategic ties with other IEEE branches
and expand our calendar of events.
I assure all of our members and NTU students to
look forward to an eventful and exciting year !

Adi Dahiya - Vice President (External)
I am Adi Dahiya, a 4th year EEE student,
currently Vice President (Externals) of
IEEE NTU Student Branch. I have been
very closely associated with IEEE
throughout my life in NTU. I have
contributed and benefited from IEEE
both as a participant as well as a
committee member over the past two
years. I plan to devote my time and
energy for uplifting the image, name,
brand and services provided by NTU
IEEE Student Branch in every way that
is possible. Although it is very hard to
improve the best, but there is always a
scope for improvement and
I aspire to narrow that scope
-
Rachit Dubey - Hon Gen Sec
IEEE is a prestigious organization, and as a student
member of the committee of 2009-10, it is my aim
to provide earnest hard work and dedication in
making it stand out as such. Having been part of
the IEEE Main Committee Publicity officer of
2008-09, I have experience that I hope to
put to good use. Our committee has set several
goals for the year ahead, not least of which
is organizing events on a large scale hoping to
attract the deserved attention of people island-wide,
as well as that of members/office bearers of
other IEEE committees present in Singapore.
With indispensable support from the administration
of NTU we can make these goals a reality
-
Manan Maheshwari - Program Director
Being the Program Director of the esteemed organization
IEEE is a great privilege for me. My experience with
IEEE has been exceptional, be it as a subcommittee
member last year or being the Program Director
this year. It provides me with an immense opportunity
to nurture my leadership skills and stimulate
innovative thinking. I have been involved in writing
proposals for events and preparing questions for quizzes.
I aim to execute the flagship events of IEEE on a
larger scale this time. I also plan to organize new
creative events to foster everyone's interest in
the science arena and provide a platform for
the scientific minds to showcase their talent.
I believe our team spirit and devotion will go a
long way in taking IEEE-NTU to greater heights.
-
Nishant Lokhandwala - Program Director
Becoming a member of IEEE has been the highlight of
my year so far. I am thrilled to be a part of the largest technical
organisation in the world. I see this as a chance to grow
and learn from my fellow committee members. In my first
month as program director I can already see that I have become
more responsible than before. The entire committee has
big things planned for this year and I hope we will be able to
pull them off successfully. I plan to make the NTU chapter
of IEEE more popular among the students by organising
bigger and better events which I am sure that the current
committee has the potential to pull off. My objective is to help
promote IEEE to a tier 2 club and have a
lot of fun in the process.
-
Rakhtim Hazarika - Business Manager
I feel honored and proud to be a part of the main committee of IEEE NTU
Students Chapter. IEEE has been nurturing great minds since it was formed
and I am sure IEEE will provide great opportunities for me to learn and grow as
a person. As the Business Manager of IEEE, I am aware of the tremendous
responsibilities bestowed on me for the success of the committee this year. I
will do my best to live up to the expectation of the members and plan to take
IEEE NTU Students Chapter to greater heights, create more relations with the
corporate world and continue to build them in the future.
-
Ayush Singhal - Financial Controller
Hi all!!!! IEEE, the biggest student run organization
in the world and being a part of the 25th Main
Committee of IEEE-NTU is a very honourable
thing for me. Working as the Financial Controller
of IEEE I look forward to achieving our goals
and making IEEE an even bigger organization
than it is at present. My job work is not to just
focus on the Finance department but it is to work
with passion and enthusiasm for our committee
whenever required. I can very confidently say that the
most important thing I learnt working as the Financial
Controller of this committee is TEAM SPIRIT. After
experiencing such a nice time working with my committee
members in such a short period of time I wish to be
a part of IEEE forever and learn a lot of new things from it.
-
Arpit Malik - Publicity Officer
I feel proud and honoured that I was given the opportunity to be a part of IEEE main committee in my first year at NTU. I always longed to be a part of a technology based society and with IEEE, I got my wish fulfilled but apart from that IEEE provided me a plethora of opportunities to enhance my skills and an experience to carry. An opportunity to be a part of an esteemed organization will help me in metamorphosing my interests into a dream career.
Designing posters, flyers and banners for events conducted by IEEE helped my hone my creative and innovative skills. Apart from skills, the experience of working in a team and learning from the more experienced members would help me in my future endeavours. My plans for the year ahead are to perform constantly and complete my job in a dependable way. I will come up with new and creative ideas for the posters and flyers which will help in encouraging more participation in the events. My best efforts will go in projecting a professional image of IEEE through my designs and creations.
-
Ankit Agarwal - Logistics Officer
It gives me immense pleasure and honor to be the
part of a nonprofit organization IEEE, which is one
of the world's leading professional association for
advancement of technology. I started as a Sub - Committee member in my First Year and now
being a Main Committee member has
significantly enhanced my leadership skills
and personality and now I can guide my true
potential to take the name of this well
accomplished and prestigious club to a greater
height and upper echelons of various clubs
not only in NTU but across the world. Being the
Logistics Officer 09-10, I ensure that the
backbone of this club i.e. the logistics
department will always stay firm.
-
Sumit Kumar Sahoo - Publications Officer
Being a member of the main committee of IEEE, NTU
Student's Chapter, in my first year is indeed a
privilege as well as a glorious opportunity for me.
As the Publications Officer, my first and foremost
duty would be the successful publication and
distribution of OdiEEEssey, our magazine. I will put
in all my effort to ensure that the magazine
is well received by all its recipients by
including intriguing and prize winning articles
- from the Student Paper Writing Competition
and any other competition that we organise
and interviews of various luminaries. I hope
under the tutelage of the more
experienced main committee members
I will realise my potentials and utilise
them to ensure that IEEE becomes
and sustains itself as one of the top
societies in NTU just as it is globally.
-
Yuyutsu Krishan - Webmaster
Being the webmaster of IEEE, and developing this website has been one enriching experience after another. Websites, I feel represent the face of an organization, and it represents every-thing the organization stands for, its values, its beliefs and its attitude towards development.
I thus am fully seized of the importance of having the best site there is, so that viewers feel at ease while navigating through its clean and non intrusive design and interface. The visual aspect apart, a good website contains good contents and that's exactly what you can expect from this one!
