Talent Search
Overview
The IEEE Talent Search Quiz is aimed at testing the awareness of the NTU Engineering Students towards current and general events and issues in the world of Science and Technology. This event will incentivize the students to know more about the world of Science. It promotes the culture of practical knowledge about everything they read in books and learn in lectures. This fits in with the IEEE Vision of making Science and Technology more popular among the common mass.
Objectives
- Create awareness and inquisitiveness among students in technical fields
- Promote education of science at all levels and encourage its applications in practical life
- Provide a challenging test-bed to technical students to test their knowledge expertise and skills
Event Format
The First Round of the event is an Online Quiz. This quiz has 15 questions and will last for 15 minutes.
The top 10 students will be shortlisted for the next round of quizzing.
In the Second Round, the ten participants take turns to face the emcee and are given 1 minute to answer as many questions they can (rapid-fire round). Attractive Prizes will be given to the students securing the first, second and third highest score in the quiz. Small prizes have also been planned for the audience.
In both the rounds, Students will be tested with questions covering the following categories:
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Electronics
- Information Technology
- Computing
- General IQ
- IEEE
Important Dates -
- Preliminary Online Round - 12th and 13th October, 2009
- Final Round - 16th October, 2009
